LIVING IN LOVE AND FAITH (LLF)

As a member organisation of CEEC, the EGGS committee commends
the CEEC press release to its members here.

We encourage EGGS members to engage in diocesan discussions as part of the LLF process and to support the faithful witness of evangelicals around the dioceses.

We encourage members to pray, work and hope for an outcome to the process which will enable evangelical witness to thrive and support the mission of the church
'to seek and to save the lost’ (Luke 19v10).

Members (and others) might also find the following articles/blogs helpful in
their initial engagement with Living in Love and Faith:

HOUSE OF BISHOPS GUIDANCE RE WELCOME OF TRANSGENDER PEOPLE

The guidance published on 11 December 2018 by the House of Bishops has
caused considerable concern amongst Anglicans - both at home and abroad - including many who would not see themselves as evangelicals.

A LETTER FROM EVANGELICAL BISHOPS TO THE 'LIVING IN LOVE
AND FAITH' COORDINATING GROUP

In response to repeated requests from around the country, a number of evangelical bishops have written to Bishop Christopher Cocksworth and the Living in Love and Faith (LLF) Coordinating Group.

Their letter asks that the LLF work takes seriously the biblical evidence and the church’s traditional understanding of it regarding identity, marriage and relationships, hears the voice of the Anglican Communion and understands that for many evangelicals, change in the Church of England’s teaching and practice has serious consequences. It recognises the challenge facing the LLF Group and offers prayerful support as they wrestle to know the mind of Christ.
